How I Never Pay Retail Prices

One thing that I never do because it just makes my stomach turn is pay full retail prices.

So what do I do? I’m glad you asked because I was just going to tell you. I shop at stores that buy the clothes or merchandise that don’t sell or are out of season.

The best time to shop for winter clothes is in the summer, and the best time to buy summer clothing is in the winter. You will be able to buy name brand clothes at half price. Now where do you buy these half price clothes that are name brand.

ROSS. Yes I know, ROSS is known for being unorganized and quite frankly it is not a good place to shop. But let me just tell you that with a little work and patience you can find the best deals for simple items.

Other stores you can try out are MARSHALLS and TJ MAX. I cannot explain exactly why they sell clothes so cheap but they do, this is the best place to find Christmas gifts for anyone at a fraction of the cost of what you would have spent at the local department store.

Call me cheap but it helps my wallet. Let me tell you how cheap I really am or smart I am. If I need a pair of shoes I go to ROSS and look at the shoes in the Mens section. I find a pair that are comfortable and that will last me at least two years. I’m talking about my every day to work shoes. The ones I have on right now are Kenneth Cole and they cost $30 which is the average prices for mens shoes.

To off set the cost to myself I look for some nice Nike shoes or cleats that I can sell on eBay and I buy those as well. I have been selling on eBay for years so I know what sells. Anyways so I buy two pairs of shoes at which I try to make $15 profit off of each pair and that way the profit pays for the new pair of shoes that I bought. Does it work? Like a charm. Remember to have the prepaid USPS boxes ready to ship the two pair of shoes in, and your done. It works for Ralph Lauren Polo shirts as well but will work best in bulk. For example 3 XXL shirts in different colors: White, Blue and Red will sell well on eBay. You walk away with profit.

One time ROSS had a shipment of shoes that included Nike Penny Hardaway shoes so I bought 12 pairs in different sizes. I made $250 profit in one week, two didn’t sell so I returned them to ROSS. I used the money to pay off debt.

I never pay full price for clothes, sometimes I don’t pay anything because of the method I just described to you. I’m cheap but i’m also debt free and building wealth.
